Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for creating detailed network designs including bills of material, drawings, and device configurations based on client requirements.
Support the implementation of network projects during the specified client change windows.
Responsible for interfacing with the clients to develop technical requirements that drives a technical solution.
Network project deliverables are delivered on schedule based on the project timeline.
Provides Level 4 support and troubleshooting to resolve escalated issues.
Responsible for escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the proper teams for resolution
Responsible for maintaining and developing knowledge and understanding of the various client network infrastructures.
Responsible for understanding current and emerging network technologies and offerings (AT&T and client).
Responsible for the design and deployment based on the AT&T and client standards, methodology, ITIL practices, and Quality standards.
Key Competencies & Skills
Must have at least 8-10 years of relevant network design experience.
Very good knowledge of all LAN switching technologies eg Spanning Tree, VLAN management and VTP concepts Needed on Cisco, Nexus, HPN/Aruba, & Junipers.
Very good knowledge on BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF routing protocols on Cisco, HPN/Aruba & Juniper
Very good understanding of WAN acceleration technologies like Riverbed etc
Very good knowledge on packetshapers & similar technologies
Good understanding of Internet Proxy technologies with Blue Coat products.
Good understanding of wireless technologies (Aruba and Cisco)
Working knowledge on Checkpoint, Palo Alto or other firewalls.
Strong understanding of IP addressing schemes, DNS, and DHCP.
Vendor management, circuit provisioning, attending meeting with different carriers discussing optimizing current network environment and future growth
Performing Network application Readiness
Good knowledge on packet capturing and deep packet analysis.
Must have relevant network certifications Cisco CCNP/CCDP or Aruba ACSA certifications.
